Different prices answer different questions
- An asking price is the amount advertised by a seller at a point in time.
- A completed-sale price is evidence of a transaction, when confirmed.
- A trade-in or purchase offer reflects a particular buyer’s terms.
- A valuation is an estimate made using a stated method and assumptions.
Build a useful comparison
Confirm the exact model year, trim, mileage, condition and market. Compare recent adverts in one currency, record source dates and identify differences that could explain the range. Check whether quoted totals include the same charges.
A wide historical range can reveal that more investigation is needed. It does not tell you where one specific vehicle belongs in the range.
Know what this site provides
CarPriceTracker supplies recorded asking-price history and user-input calculation tools. We do not currently return a personalized vehicle appraisal or a guaranteed selling price.
Confirm information with original sources and, where appropriate, an independent inspection or a provider that explains its valuation method. Use the chart as research context rather than a substitute for checking a vehicle.
